Memory Troubleshooting

NOTE: Before touching any sensitive electronic components, be sure to wear either anti-static protection or touch a large metal object to ground yourself.

If your memory is not working, it could be for a variety of reasons:

  1. Try reseating the memory FIRMLY several times. Seating issues are the most common issues that we see.
  2. Next, verify that you ordered the correct memory; Server memory (ECC) is often misordered for desktop computers which are non-ecc
  3. If the item title indicates the same model as your machine, please check if there is a variation of your specific model that may use a different speed or type of memory.
  4. Send us a message via the “Contact Us” button on the toolbar and a technical support representative will assist with troubleshooting.
